Kylie May and a Secretive Day 114

We'd love to tell you all about everything that happened at the BBQ sponsored by the Masonic Lodge today, but you've probably read the Davinci Code and know that secret society's have the word "secret" in them for a reason.  All we can tell you is that we ate way too much and Kylie had way too much fun.  Oh....I've probably already divulged too much, it's a good thing I have Kylie with me for protection tonight.

After such a covert park picnic and 95 degree heat, Kylie (well Nat and I) thought it would be fun to back to gpa Gene and Gma Gloria's pool, for a nice little cool down.  Kylie got a brand new floatation device, which she cautiosly enjoyed.  She is still just a little small for the floatie, which meant she was much happier being totted around the pool in the arms of her mommy or daddy.  This moments only last so long, so any extra time we get to enjoy carrying her around with us is A-Ok. After swimming, she spent a little time kicking around (surprise surprise...Kylie kicking...who would have guessed?) at great grandma and grandpas house.  In the midst of all the extreme kicking and punching, Kylie let our her first (or close to it) belly laugh.  Up until now, it has been more squeals of delight, but she could never really muster a true laugh (You might just know you are a first time parent when you begin differentiating between a squeal and laugh).  Nat was tickling her with her hair, and it just made the little munchkin laugh so much. We caught the tale end of the fun on video.  I think I just had an epiphany (I know I know...another one) of sorts.  I'm thinking videos of children laughing needs to become a wide spread therapy.  Pain, depression, anxiety, can you really have any of those when your sitting watching a baby laugh?  Hold on, I just have to run to the patent office, I'll be right back.

We got Kylie home, fixed a quick dinner, waved goodbye to Nat, and then... Kylie and I were alone......... :-(.  Once we watched a couple baby laughing videos, and pulled ourselves together, I gave her a bath (which she absolutely loves these days), did some swinging on the front porch, took a long walk outside, and put her into bed (at least momentarily).

We will now start the countdown until Nat pulls into the driveway tomorrow morning. 11hours 21minutes and counting. :-)

more to come soon,

-Craig-

Another fun family day. It really is great when Nat and I get to
