Well I will start with last night...we were up about every 1.5-2 hours. I had a pounding headache, sore throat and running nose, little Miss May was congested and had a low grade fever. I felt so bad for her, she was so restless because she was having trouble breathing, she might have had a sore throat too, I don't know. She was so warm she would kick off all the covers then she would be to cold. She nursed every time she woke, but had a hard time because her nose was so stuffed. We have the NoseFrida (little device that allows you to suck the snot out of a little nose) so I used it often, but she was not a fan of this thing sucking out her nose while she was still half asleep.
Craig got home and walked with Kylie for a little bit and we decided to give her a little Tylenol since her temp had continued to go up. When Craig finally got in to be Kylie and I were up. My dad came over to help me so I could at least eat some breakfast. I don't get sick very often, I kinda expected it the whole time I was pregnant, because your immune system is compromised, but when Craig was feeling yucky the past few days I truly didn't think I would get sick too. Thank goodness for amazing breast milk, I know Kylie is getting all the good antibodies she needs to fight the cold, but I am having a hard time finding medicine I feel comfortable taking. I know not everything is bad when you are nursing, but I just hate the idea of putting medication in to my body while I am nursing Kylie. I broke down a few times throughout the day and took some non-drowsy cold meds, but I don't think I am taking them enough to have them help much.
My mom came by this afternoon to help me out as well. It is such a blessing to have my parents so close, I don't know what I would do without them. My mom helped with Kylie while I get some household stuff done and ran to the dance studio for a bit. Now we are getting ready for bed. Kylie is already asleep but I can hear her struggling to get a full breath and tossing and turning in bed. I hope we can both get a little rest but I have a feeling I won't be able to sleep while she is this uncomfortable. I feel so bad for her, I wish I could just fix it. I hope we are both feeling better tomorrow.
More to come soon,
Natalie

She is teething too, I'm sure that didn't help the situation. |

Sucking her bit toe, she was interested in this new experience but had a hard time keeping her foot up there. |
