Casual Friday! It's what she lives for (that and a nice round of warm milk). Dressing the part of a Diva is fun, but, once in a while you just have to let your hair down (or, in Kylie's case, let your hair any direction it darn well pleases), put your feet up (or kick them a mile a minute), throw on the comfy jeans (or soft denim romper), and just enjoy a good ole fashion Friday kick back. Today, Kylie got to have a family-fun hang out, that just so happens to have included a visit from Samantha, an old Sacramento friend (Thanks for making the drive to come see us :-)). Kylie loves getting to meet new people, as it provides her an opening for performing all her best tricks. Today...oh Today! She held nothin back. Samantha got the smiles, the laughs, the coos, the eyebrow dancing, and even the naked time "kick my arms and legs so fast that they just look like a blur." Lets just say Kylie already has a knack for hospitality and entertaining guests. We got to catch a quick Jamba Juice, and I think the wee one even downed a quick shot of wheat grass, and then Samantha was back to San Diego and Nat was off to the Brandin' Iron. That just left Me, Kylie, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Paul Pierce, and Rajon Rondo. The ole gang together again.
This next bit does come with a disclaimer and I reluctantly post it, but sometimes the truth hurts.
Disclaimer: Nat and I know too much TV causes mush brained children, and we are making a conscious effort to not have the TV on when Kylie is in the same room. Now that the disclaimer is out of the way, I have to say that after tonight I now understand why parents end up propping the little ones in front of the boob tube, or putting the seat back DVD players in the car. Even at her young age, Kylie is mesmerized by the colorful, talking, black box. She was a little tired and restless so I was walking with her (our best move) when I decided to put the Heat vs. Celtics game on (I mean it's playoff basketball after all). Miss Kylie May stopped everything and just fixated on the game (I guess if she is going to watch anything...I'd prefer this). It was so funny, but disturbing at the same time.
After dragging her away from the TV, her and I made our first ever dynamic duo trip to the grocery story. With the help from our good friend "Moby Wrap" the trip was effortless, and maybe even a tad bit fun. It would have gone a lot quicker if I hadn't spent the whole trip putting all the candy, cookies, and sweets in the cart as fast as she could replace them with fruit, nuts, and eggs. "Sheeesh Kylie!....all I wanted was to have a little fun and enjoy some cookies". In the end, I can't complain too much though because she did do all the shopping and paid for the groceries...I guess I'll put another tally mark in the "reason people have children" column.
Now, she's wastin away again in dreamville, so I'll go get the house put back together so we can do it again tomorrow. Little does Kylie know that she is about to get a late night visit from Uncle Thad tonight. Him and Michelle are coming to spend a couple nights with us, so another day of fun is sure to be waiting
more to come soon,
-Craig-
p.s. the overabundance of pictures is an attempt to make up for not having any yesterday.

Right before this picture I asked her...What animal do you remind mommy and daddy of?...That's right...a little monkey |
This look is often misinterpreted for sad/concerned/confused....it's modern art people! This is simply a professional, unleashing an artistic expression masterpiece |
Thanks for coming and visiting Samantha. Kylie enjoyed showing off how big she is. |
Ah...so content, relaxed, and cozy...what could she be doing? |
Kylie. Can I get you something? popcorn? a soda? hot dog? |
Yep. This is what she was sitting doing, watching tv. |
no....this is not our big love sac...we will retake a photo someday when she is like this on the big one. |
Kylie and Dad time....all business. |
Who were we kidding? We couldn't maintain our "tough guy" serious faces forever. |
