Kylie May, Home At Last (110)

Home again, home again, and it could not have gone smoother. Kylie and I woke this morning at the condo in Sacramento after having a fun filled evening (thank you Tricia and Samantha for stopping by to see Kylie). After a quick breakfast with Auntie Melissa (who has been gone in Colorado for the past 3 weeks) and Papa (both on their way up to Oregon) we were dropped off at the Sacramento Airport for the final leg of this travel adventure. I wore Kylie in my Moby and of course she fell asleep once we got in line to go through security. Luckily they didn't make me take her out, we just had to jump through a few extra security hoops, but I was glad to do as much jumping as needed to keep her tucked in and sleeping. She stayed asleep until we were taking off, at which point I woke her to nurse her so her ears could adjust to the change in pressure. She was then awake and oh so sweet. She smiled at everyone, she cooed and blew bubbles, she had a major blowout and was back to nursing and fast asleep by the time we landed. So I stepped off the plane exactly the way I had stepped on, with a sleeping baby. I gathered our bag and car seat and Craig was outside waiting to pick us up. Turns out it is exactly 3 hours from Portorville to Ontario Airport, and Craig timed it perfectly. Kylie traveled so well, we are so proud of our little one. It makes us excited to take a few more vacations this summer.

Once we were home, Craig put Kylie on her play mat to stretch out. She let out the biggest laugh, I think she knew she was home and she recognized her toys, she is such a smart girl. The rest of the afternoon we rested, Kylie and I took a nap in the living room while Craig did some good napping in the bedroom. Then it was time to fix dinner and for Craig to head to work, first of three in a row. Grandma and Grandpa stopped by to say "Hi" to Kylie and I took advantage of the help and started some laundry. The little one went down a few hours ago and spent a little time putting some photos on Facebook :o)

Although we enjoyed our trip, we are happy to be back home. I am eager to get unpacked and get the house under control, but right now it is time to climb in bed with my little princess.

More to come soon,
Natalie
