Johnson Baby Update: Kylie May and another big day 97

Kylie and I started our day with an adventure to a Breastfeeding Circle in Loma Linda. This group meets two Wednesdays a month and talks about breastfeeding! So fun! There were only three of us that made it to the group this week and Kylie was the "big girl" of the group. It was fun to meet other moms and share our birth and breastfeeding stories. I hope we can continue to attend the group, it is so great to talk with other woman who have little ones too.

After our group, Kylie and I went to spend some time with Great-Grandma, Great-Grandpa and cousin Adam. Kylie had so much fun playing with everyone. Everyday she is more interactive and purposeful with her movement and expressions, it is just amazing to see her grow. We also got to talk to my cousin Emily this afternoon. She is due on Sunday and very excited about meeting her little boy Liam any time now. Kylie is very excited to meet him too!

We came home when Craig woke up. He enjoyed spending some time playing with Kylie and reading to her while I warmed up some dinner. We did a mini 3 month photo shoot of the little one in Craig's big chair, then Kylie sat in her Bumbo seat on the table while we ate. She seems to enjoy being our centerpiece during meals, I think she likes to feel so close to the action. When Craig left for work, Kylie and I visited with the neighbors for a bit then came home and got Kylie ready for bed.

Third time was the charm tonight. Around 8pm Kylie was nursing and starting to fall asleep, so I decided to lay down and nurse her in bed hoping she would fall asleep there. As soon as I laid her down she was wide awake, smiling and kicking. Ok, I thought, not ready for bed. So we got up and I brought her to the living room, I put on some nice music and she played on her mat. 9pm rolls around and she is starting to seem tired again. I take her to our room, lay down to nurse her, she nurses then pulls away and starts smiling and kicking again. So we got up and went back to the living room. Another hour later Kylie is for sure ready for bed, she nurses and is fast asleep in 2 min. I keep checking on her, but she is sound asleep, resting up for another big day tomorrow. Craig is off for the next few days, I go back to work and the dance studio then hospital, then Craig is back for another 3 days in a row. In the mean time we are trying to find a little time to celebrate our upcoming 3-year wedding anniversary and Father's Day. So much fun stuff, so little time :o)
