So sorry for the delay… last night was full of eating,
playing games and tending to our little monkey. So yesterday recap; we woke up
to a little layer on snow on the ground, beautiful, we (Kylie, Craig and I)
drove while the rest of the family walked to the Wawona hotel for a wonderful
breakfast. On our drive we came upon my parents walking accompanied by a
beautiful golden retriever. When we stopped to ask if they wanted a ride they
informed us that in fact there was a small pack of coyotes was gathering and
following them while they were walking. So they jumped in the car, but what
about the dog? Oh well he jumped in the car too! Kylie was every happy to
finally have something interesting to look at while she was in her car seat.
After dropping the dog off back at the office we headed to breakfast. We
enjoyed breakfast and headed back to our cozy cabin.
The rest of the day was full of Amazing Race competition
(which included puzzles, face painting, which scared Kylie a little, learning
how to knit, memorizing our lines and performing scenes from “Friends”),
cooking lots of yummy food and finished with drinks and board games. It was a
fun family day. Little Kylie had had a bit of a stuffy nose and a little cough.
She had a tiny temperature in the middle of the day but it didn’t last long.
She had a hard time sleeping, she wanted to nurse the whole time, but had a
hard time breathing well when she was nursing, it was a long night (hence no
blog).
