Kylie May Reveals Her Roots Day 273

Work has claimed the last few nights of my life, which in turn, means that sleep has claimed the last few days.  So, today, when I finally woke up around 3:00pm (still blurry eyed and unsure what planet I was on) I wasn't cognisant of much, but I did happen to notice that there was an awful lot of citrus fruit strewn about the house. My first thought? Wow! My lucky day. Sadly though, I didn't start eating my way through it.  Instead, I sat back as Nat made me privy to the fact that Kylie's new favorite toy is anything orange, round, and citrusy (you saw the video from yesterday). Her new favorite activity? Picking the fruit from our tree. Shades of Oedipus were all I saw next.  No. Not in the whole eyeless, knocking off your pops kind of way, but more the, you can't run from your destiny sort of way. How so? Well, Anyone from the Central Valley (like I am) recognizes that it is known for its Citrus**. This time of the year (roughly) the roads and rows of the valley are lined with workers diligently liberating the fruit from their trees.  I guess our pretty little plucker is more rooted in her Central Valley heritage than she even knows. After all. You know what they say?...You do know what they say?...Right? The apple (or orange) doesn't fall too far from the tree.

more to come soon,

Craig

**To be fair, Redlands is also know for It's Citrus, but that just isn't part of this story. :-)
