Kylie May makes a new friend today 269

Today I got a little taste of what it might be like if I worked days at the hospital. I left around 6:30am for work training and made it home around 3. From what I hear the day went very well, Kylie played with her daddy, ate lots of yummy food and even took a nice long nap. It was weird to be away from her during the day, usually when I am at work I dont feel like I am missing out on very much, she is just sleeping (or Craig is trying to get her to sleep). But today I found myself thinking about her a lot, wondering what she might be doing, hoping she wasn't doing something new that I would have to hear about and not see in person, it was hard. On the other hand it was so nice to be on the same schedule and not sleep away half the day when I get home, maybe I will have to consider looking for a day job at some point.

The most exciting part of Kylie's day happened when she got to meet Brynne. Brynne's mom Penny and my mom have been friends since before we were born and through our childhood years we were like sisters. It has been a while since I have seen Brynne (she has been out traveling the country) and today she was visiting friends in Redlands before heading to Mexico for a month. If you know Kylie, you know that she loves people, especially very kind people with cool hair. So it was no surprise that Kylie warmed up to Brynne right away. It was, however, a little bit of a surprise when Kylie asked if she could move into Brynne's van with her and take a trip to Mexico. Soon enough little one, and when that time comes I'm sure Auntie Brynne will be happy to have you join her.

Craig picked up an extra shift tonight (because he missed one last week when he was sick), it will make for a long week, it will actually be a long week and a half, but at the end of it we will be heading to Yosemite for my family Christmas trip, can't believe it is coming so soon! We are so excited!
