Kylie May's Christmas Parade Day 267

It was an evening just like any other evening...until the parade started! Our little girl had no idea where she was or what was happening, but she was intrigued. Yes. intrigued. I don't think there is any other way to describe how to she handled her first parade experience.  Redlands had their annual Christmas parade tonight (it's televised and everything...local public channel).  Oh. I'm sure at first Kylie may have wondered why she was getting bundled up, having a hat put on, and being sat in her stroller, but once the lights were visible and the music was within ear shot all the wonder turned to intrigue.  We were even lucky because Nat got to join us for about 10 minutes before she had to run to work. Yep. It's one of those nights again.  Looks like root beer floats and make overs are in the works.  Anyway. The parade.  We didn't make it until the end (a light drizzle mixed with some tired eyes ended our Macy's Day moment early) but that's ok. The Santa Claus suspense is now mounting.  We've described him to her numerous times, but she just can't seem to grasp the red suit, beard, and bowl of jelly thing.

Well that was our big moment.  Maybe tomorrow the Christmas light fairy will come hang our lights and really get this party started.  Anyone have the Christmas fairy's number? I have to text her to make sure she remembers our appointment.

more to come soon,

Craig

p.s. If pictures are worth 1000 words, how much are movies worth?  I forgot to mention that there was a little of this again today :-)

  1. Awesome walking video! You should get yourself some walking wings to save your back. :) http://www.amazon.com/Upspring-Baby-Walking-Learning-Assistant/dp/B000E9TDRS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1354482683&sr=8-1&keywords=walking+wings
