Kylie May Joins the Holiday Frenzy Day 289

If you can't beat them, join them. Right?  That's what Forrest Gump would do. Actually.  He would just beat them.  Since we know exactly what we are getting in our crazy Christmas shopping box of of chocolates, and there is no beating it, we decided to join the fiasco.  Kylie's first response to our bold declaration, "Kylie! Today we are going Christmas shopping!", was "We? When did you start speaking French?" Je suis desole mademoiselle.  After a short nap she reconsidered and was ready to tackle the masses. Dressed in her Sunday best (literally it was the best outfit we had left that was clean) we hit the road and shopped till the sun went down.  She loved the hustle and bustle of the crowd, the music, long lines, and the throngs of people.  It all fascinated her.  She was quite entertained as she sat back in her sling popping one Cheerio after another into her little mouth (just imagine how you look when you're sitting in the theater with a tub of popcorn. That was her).

The other fun moment in the, never dull, life of Kylie was getting to play with all the kids at church this morning.  Usually it's two services, but for Christmas we just did one big joint one.  That meant all the kids piled into one little nursery.  Kylie translation: I get to have the best time of my life, playing with tons of other kids, climbing on them, tugging on their ears, and trying to kiss them. I think it took a good 30 minutes (and a wet diaper) for her to even realize that her mom and dad weren't there.  She doesn't get very many opporutnities to play with other kids during the week, so she takes full advantage.

Santa's elves are hard at work tonight (finally getting the fake Christmas tree up) making the most of Kylie's sleeping hours, so this is where today ends.

More to come soon,

Craig

"You ever have this feeling that you're being watched?"

"Any hidden cameras over here? Nope."

"Maybe if I just read my book they'll leave me alone."

"Oh. It's just you. Hey."
