Sledding in December, sounds about right. Sledding in Southern California in Decmeber when the temperature is 72 degrees, now that doesn't make sense. Don't tell that to little Miss May, today she enjoyed her very first grass sledding adventure in front of her great-grandparents house. Grass sledding? Yep, I'm pretty confident it will catch on and be the next big "winter"activity here in Redlands. It's quite simple, Kylie sits in the sled and her mommy and great-grandpa take turns pulling her up and down the little grass hill, oh so much fun. Besides sledding, Kylie also got to play with another new toy at her great-grandparents. It was like basic marble works for an 8 month old and she loved it! Kylie also showed off her walking skills by making a few laps around their house.
After our outing to visit the great-grandparents we picked up Auntie Melissa and headed to the dance studio. We have our Christmas showcase this coming Saturday so I have been attending practices more often trying to get ready. Kylie and Melissa watched us rehearse for a little bit before taking a walk then taking a nap. We headed home to find her daddy awake and eager to spend a little time with her before heading to work. After a good dinner and a quick bath Kylie was ready for bed. She is becoming more active when she sleeps, last night she ended up completely sideways with her feet by my face, good thing I woke up and turned her around before I ended up with a black eye. I'm sure tonight with will be another adventure. Tomorrow Kylie has her 9 month dr. appointment, I am eager to see how much she weighs and how long/tall she is.
Also Kylie wanted to say "Happy Birthday Auntie Lane!" She can't wait to see you in a couple weeks!
More to come soon,
Natalie
