Kylie May Gets in the Christmas Spirit Day 266

It may only be November, but Kylie got her first little taste of Christmas this morning.  So maybe there was no caroling, lights, mangers, trees, or jolly old men, but she did get to do some Christmas (window) shopping with Nat and I.  We figure she will be bombarded with all the Shinanagans of the Holiday soon enough, so easing her into it is our strategy.  I think she is now old enough to realize how much fun a toy store can be.  After bouncing around on "Rody", crawling through a plastic tunnel, and testing a few other items, she decided that the wooden maraca was her treasure of choice as we perused the isles.  Luckily for us she is not yet at an age where putting things back on a shelf leads to a meltdown.

We did find out what does cause minor meltdown's though.  Not letting her walk.  The last few days she has mildly protested when we pry our fingers from her hands and tell her walking time is all done.  Today, however, she decided to do a mini freak out.  With one giant grin, she walked around the entire house twice (with us holding her little hands for support of course) when our conscience finally got the best of us (I mean she can't even crawl yet) and Nat picked her up to hold her. Was the little Guliver happy to be held by her mom? Oh no.  She threw her head back, arched her back, let out a squeal, and did everything she could to get back down and walk some more.  hmmmm?  guess we're gonna have to pull out our trusty ole New Parenting for Dummies for some guidance on this one.

Playing with her auntie, Skyping with Melissa's friend Anna, eating (carrots, oatmeal, peas, cottage cheese, squash, avocado), and enjoying a little rain on her head rounded out the little bugaboo's day.  Tomorrow has a big adventure in store that I can't wait to share.

More to come soon,

Craig

I put my quarter in and nothing happened. Anyone know how to get this horsie moving?
