Happy Anniversary...

Today Craig and I celebrated being married for 5 years. It is amazing how much has changed in the past 5 yreas. We both graduated nursing school, started working and we had two amazing kids. We are truly blessed.
Auntie Lala and Al took Kylie to Sky Town this morning while Craig tried to be Mr. Sneaky and took my old phone and upgraded it! I have been complaining about my phone, it doesn't have sound that works when you take a video, and I have missed moments of Kylie and been so sad. So today Craig spent the whole morning out getting me a new phone, thank you wonderful husband.

Kylie came home from Sky Town not interested in eating lunch or taking a nap. As it turned out she decided that taking a nap was over rated today. I tried to get her to go to sleep for about an hour, no luck. Ammy decided to take her for a drive to see if she would fall asleep in the car, turns out they ended up at Target. Kylie enjoyed shopping and convinced her Ammy to buy her the "Cinderella shoes" that she has had her eye on for the past 3 months. Every time we go to Target she tries them on, wears them around the store and we put them back and say "thank you shoes, see you next time." But today when Kylie walked in the door at home she had the biggest smile on her face and the Cinderella shoes on her feet. She didn't take them off the rest of the day and I imagine she will wear them every minute for the next week at least. Ammys are the best!

I attempted to take some newborn photos of Cooper this afternoon, Al helped me, we got a few good ones, I will have to post them tomorrow. Around 5pm Kylie came in and wanted to nurse, we got a few photos of my nursing both kids, then I looked down and guess who was finally asleep? We decided that a nap at 5pm was not going to work well, so after about 15 minutes we tried to wake her up, it was not an easy task, I have never seen her so sleepy, poor girl. But she pulled through and we headed to market night.

While Ammy, Lala and Al enjoyed market night with Kylie; Craig, Cooper and I enjoyed an anniversary dinner at Darby's. The best part of the meal was when Craig pulled out our wedding vows. I had kept a copy in our bedside table and when we were first married we tried to read them every month on the 19th. I hoped to read them often and eventually memorize them. That didn't last very long, and I never memorized them. But tonight we reread our vows to each other, it was wonderful. We were very purposeful about our vows and it is wonderful to see that we are still doing a good job fulfilling them 5 years later.

Kylie enjoyed her market night adventure, she got her arm painted, ate popcorn, listened to music in the park and ended the evening with a pony ride. We thought for sure she would crash as soon as we got home, but no such luck. She was up running around and even after many attempts to nurse her and rock her, it took Craig walking for 30 minutes outside before she fell asleep. I hope we have an ok night tonight, only time will tell :o)

Here are a few comparison photos of Kylie when she was little and Cooper, can you tell who is who?

More to come soon,
Natalie
