Kylie, Cooper, Quin and I took a road trip today to Portorville. We had a fun filled morning with a trip to story time and a lunch date with my grandparents. We hit the road and both kiddos fell asleep pretty quick. We were worried that Cooper would not sleep because he slept well for the two hours before we left, but he did really well and slept for another 2.5 hours in the car. We made it here in just over 4 hours and we only had to stop once, it was awesome. Kylie asked us when we were driving "Cooper ever been to Ammy's before?" No we said, "this is his first time." "I will show him all around." Kylie was so excited when we got here, she ran around, went to see the cows and ended up on the swing in the backyard within the first hour.
Kylie entertained us all this evening, at dinner Ammy was holding Cooper, he sneezed and Kylie whispered something as she stared at him with a blank look on her face. None of us heard what she said so Lala asked from the other side of the table "what did you say Kylie?" Kylie whipped her head around and with an emotionless, glazed over face and said "I didn't say anything." Not only was the way she said it hilarious, but the fact that she didn't want to repeat what she had said (which we think had something to do with Cooper and outside) made us all double over with laughter. Ammy, who missed the whole interaction, then asked "Kylie what did you say to make everyone laugh so hard?" She turned to Ammy and with a sweet innocent smile she said "I didn't say anything." This made us all laugh even more, she is such a funny little girl. We had a yummy family dinner followed by a Kylie performance in the middle of the living room. She danced and sang, her songs focused on a Mr. Coolie, a cow and Mike. She also sang about us clapping for her, which of course made us clap more. At the end she bowed repetitively and said "thank you, thank you..." Cooper got some good cuddle time in with his Ammy and a lot of naked time through out the evening. It's time for bed now, Craig was in bed by 9:30, I hope he gets some good rest while we are gone. We will be here for another couple days, missing Craig, but hoping he enjoys a little break.
More to come soon,
Natalie
