Another Fun Day

In a house with two kids and two very active parents, there might be a slight shortage of sleep but there is never a shortage of fun! So therefore today was another very fun day in this part of the world. Today was Natalie's first day back to work teaching a 1 day child-birthing class, so the whole gang woke up early and got ready to take her to work. We got out of the house about 20 minutes later than desired, but we ended up having plenty of time to help Natalie set up her classroom and have a little bagel breakfast from the shop next door. The plan for this morning was for me (Doe) to stay with Nat for the first part of her class and keep Cooper happy and for Craig to take Kylie to church. Cooper ended up doing great and except for about 15 minutes at the beginning, slept in the moby wrap with Natalie. So I ended up getting a little break. Then during the lunch break, Craig and Kylie brought us all lunch from the Corner Bakery and we enjoyed visiting and playing for a while. Cooper was awake during that time and smiling and cooing so much. He is such a smiley baby sometimes and it just about kills me with cuteness. He has some tiny little dimples on his cheeks when he smiles and it's just adorable.

Then after lunch (and after Kylie showed off some of her playing skills in front of the returning childbirth students) I came home with Craig and he, Kylie, and I took a little nap. From what I understand, except for a couple of nursing breaks, the Mini Coop slept well for the second half of the class as well. So lets see that's a nap for: Cooper, Kylie, Doe, and Craig. Poor Natalie, no naps for her. But, she did get to go and visit with Tabitha and Portia for a while this evening, so that was more fun than a nap anyway! Then she came home and Marta came over and we all had dinner together. Coopy was a little fussy tonight as he often gets in the late evening. So Marta helped keep him at bay while Nat got a little rest in before getting up again to work on editing some pictures. She is a crazy lady I tell you, no wonder Kylie is so active :-) This evening, Kylie, Marta, and I were playing doctor and Marta exclaimed "It's a miracle!" and Kylie latched onto that immediately. So for the rest of this evening she has been walking around exclaiming "It's a miracle my daughter is born" or "It's a miracle, I can crawl!" It's pretty hilarious. That was a pretty skimpy update, I know. I'm pretty tired myself and I know I've got a busy day ahead of me tomorrow. I am still determined, however, to rewrite my blog that tragically got deleted at the beach so be on the look out for that one. I had lots of funny Kylie stories to tell in it and it was much more colorful than this :-)

It's been a pleasure, as always, to get to spend more time with all of these guys and I'm excited for more and more.

More to come soon,
Doe

Kylie and I went on a little lunch date to Panera yesterday. It was awesome

Kylie wanted to hold Cooper yesterday, so I helped put him on her lap. When he started to fuss, I asked if she wanted me to take him and she said "no, I got it" and would shush him and pat him and show him his toy. I was so impressed. She is such a great big sister.

Cooper doesn't always do great in the car, but yesterday he put himself right to sleep. Good job Coop!

Newsflash: Milk Mustaches are out. Cream Cheese Mustaches are in!
