It's amazing how much your expectations change when you are a mom. What is acceptable and not acceptable, what I expect, what is reality, and what qualifies as success. Today was one of those days where it was very clear how much as changed (in a weird, but good way). Kylie actually slept in this morning allowing me a little time to clean part of the house, yes! I brought Cooper into the bathroom while Kylie slept and actually took a shower, success (didn't get to shave my legs, but that has become a new reality, and I am ok with it). I got all of us dressed and eating breakfast at a reasonable time, success #2. While Kylie was finishing breakfast I wrapped up Cooper and actually vacuumed our guest room and bedroom (it had been a long time), success #3. We had a wonderful morning with a visit from Janelle, Christian, Sophie and Benjamin (thank you for the visit and basket of goodies, the tea was wonderful!). The kids enjoyed playing together, it was so fun to have so many kids in the house, makes me excited for the future. Not scared to have more kids, success #4. Michele came over and brought us a wonderful lunch and sweet gifts for both kids (thank you Michele, Kylie woke up and immediately asked where you were, she really enjoyed seeing you). Michele and I were able to sit and visit while I nursed the kids, I was even able to nurse Kylie in the rocking chair and she just fell asleep, transferred her to the bed, success #5. My parents came over in the evening to help with the kids while I got dinner in the table and to help with a quick bath time before we headed to the bowl. Both kids clean and in pj's before Craig got home (with the amazing help of my parents) assisted success #6. We enjoyed amazing music at the bowl tonight, it was Hawaiian music from a band that is local to Redlands, they had Hula dancers and the whole bit, Kylie (and I) loved it. She even showed off her hula moves, so cute! Craig left early since he decided to go in to work early tomorrow (3am) to pick up a few extra hours before we go on vacation at the end of the week. I made it home with both kids and now they are both asleep, success #7. Overall it was a pretty good day, I actually felt like I kept up (with the help from my parents) and I am looking forward to trying to do it again tomorrow.
Cooper was so sweet today. He has still been a little fussy, he seems really uncomfortable sometimes and has a lot of gas. When I was nursing both kids after Kylie's nap, Cooper had a really loud fart and about 3 seconds later so did Kylie, sorry kids, it must be something in the milk, lol. Anyway, Cooper is smiling all the time, he makes very intense and purposeful eye contact and has started cooing. He really enjoys being naked so we have been spending time just letting him be free on the floor. We ended up changing outfits 3 times and going through 2 blankets, but it's worth it to see how happy he is. Kylie wants to pick him up and hold him often, she brings him toys and tries to play with him. She has started asking "why" all the time. And I find that I don't often know the answer. Like when she is watching Cooper kick his legs and he accidentally pulls his own hair and she asks "why Cooper doing that mommy?" Good question little one, I have no idea.
Can't believe beach week is just a few days away, hoping to pack some more tomorrow :o)

Naked time, I was happy to get a shot with his leg covering his stuff :o) he was kicking so fast I wasn't sure I could get it. And notice, he is about to get a handful of hair, don't do it Coop!
So comfy in Michele's arms
This was just a couple minutes earlier, right before he let out a little gas, his face says it all.
Play time with Benja, Ky, Coop, Sophie and Christian.
Sophie enjoyed holding Cooper, she was so good with him.
Showing off the rings that Sophie made for Kylie.
