Hello all--Tim and Taylor here. It has been a fun week so far and we are excited to tell you a little bit about the happenings today. The day began unlike any of the others thus far. By the time we woke up Kylie was with Ammy (Grandma Diana), Lala (Auntie Lane), and Doh (Auntie Quin) for a morning walk (a tradition that Ammy used to do with Lala and Doh when they were Kylie's age--so it was time to pass on the torch).  There was only one slight problem. By the time they got to the beach for their walk, Kylie spotted the swings and they ended up swinging on the beach for an hour instead of going for a walk and gathering seashells (maybe a new morning tradition was started, but only time will tell).  At the same time they were off doing that, we came downstairs at the beach house to find Mommy and Cooper enjoying the peace and quiet and taking a little nap on the couch.  When the girls returned to the house, Kylie was clearly worn out from swinging (after all, it's tiring work to have Lala and Doh push you on the swing) and she traded places with Cooper on the couch for a "little nap" with Mommy. Her "little nap" turned into quite the morning nap, and she even ended up rolling off the couch by the time all was said and done.

We also had quite the day at the beach. Today was the day for our annual Disc Slam tournament so the adults paired up and prepared for the tournament. For Kylie, this meant more swinging on the little girl swings (mixed in with putting her feet in the water and a trip to the rocks to explore the "squishies" and the other sea life). For Cooper, this meant a full day of sleeping, eating, and pooping (okay, this could be like any other day for Cooper--but he is such a sweet boy and so easy going). Auntie Tay Tay thinks that while Cooper looked a lot like Kylie when he was born, he is beginning to develop his own look and personality--like a boy! :) After 34 games (including pool play and tournament play for 16 teams), Lane and Andrew were crowned champions of the 2014 Disc Slam tournament edging out Papa David and Kyle. Lane was awarded MVP honors and proudly got to open the #10 can of chocolate pudding for dessert as a result of her efforts.

Back at the beach house tonight, it was kids' night to cook. We served up some great chicken and steak fajitas. Not long after dinner, Kylie crashed out for the night and many of the "big kids" settled in to playing games of Nert. Mommy even got to be in on one of the games as she nursed Cooper (in the Moby wrap) and played one-handed. After being fed, Cooper fell right to sleep (as usual) and seemed to be out for a while. The night finished out with a big game of "Connection" (an interesting game that Andrew introduced this year) and lots of laughs (mostly brought on by Kyle). Well, that's all for now folks--but I am sure there will be another full day of fun tomorrow. We hope you enjoy some of the pictures (below) from the day.
