Thank you Auntie Doe for writing the blog last night, it was more helpful then you know!
Today was a fun and busy day. Craig headed to work and the rest of us ate breakfast and got ready to head to SkyTown. Marta came by to bring us a coffee maker and enjoyed breakfast with us. Tabitha purchased us some wonderful decaf coffee yesterday and I was eager to have a cup this morning. It's amazing how the smell of coffee brewing in the morning can make me smile, even if it is decaf :o)
Tabitha, Portia and Nico joined us for our SkyTown adventure and a delicious lunch afterward. We are trying to soak in our playtime with our wonderful neighbors before they leave for a long summer vacation on Wednesday. Kylie and Portia are starting to play together a little more, it is so fun to watch them interact. Nico is almost 6 months old, time goes by SO fast, he is such a sweet, smiley kid, I think Cooper might be the same way, I am eager to see them grow and become friends.
After SkyTown and lunch, we headed home for nap time. I got some photo editing done while Doe took a little nap with Coopie and Kylie slept on her horsey couch. When nap time was over we headed to our 6 week postpartum visit with Karen. It is the last visit we have with her until we get pregnant again :o( Although she did say that we could come visit her anytime, I was more then welcome to come and visit, ask questions, etc... So we might have to take her up on that, I can't imagine not seeing her for another year or more. One of my friends said that when she found out she was pregnant with her third, her first thought was "I get to see Karen again!" You know you have a good midwife when you look forward to your visits that much. Both Cooper and I are doing great. Cooper has grown very well...
Birth Now
Weight 8lbs 6oz 12lbs 10oz
Length 21.25 inch 23 inch
Head 14 inch 15.5 inch
He is meeting all his developmental milestones and more. Nursing has been doing all of us good. Kylie and Cooper are gaining
weight while I am loosing it! At the end of my pregnancy I weighed about
175lbs and today I weighed 156lbs. The only thing that has been a little concerning for us is that he tends to look to his left a lot more then his right. He will look to his right, but it doesn't seem to be as comfortable as looking to his left. I have scheduled an apt with Dr. Dale, the same chiropractor we took Kylie to, we will see him on Wednesday and see how he does with a little adjustment.
When we got home from our apt, it was time to starting fixing dinner. Kylie and Doe played while I cooked, we ate a yummy meal and did quick baths for both kids. Then we headed out the door once again and went to a 66ers baseball game. It was Loma Linda employee appreciation at the game tonight so Craig met us there after work and we enjoyed the beautiful warm evening and watched a little baseball. Cooper seemed to enjoy his first baseball game, I'm glad because there are many many more to come I'm sure :o)
Craig and Kylie have already called it a night (Kylie is sleeping in Doe's bed right now, last night she told us she was scared to sleep in her room and our room, she insisted on sleeping in Doe's room. We moved her before Doe went to bed and she slept well the rest of the night in her own bed. Tonight she said the same thing, this time I am tempted to just let her snuggle and nanies with Doe all night ;o)) Doe is holding Coopie so I need to go down and take over.
I'm sure there is more to say, but I can't remember much else. Oh one more little story (for Doe since she will want to be able to remind me of how silly I was today). We were heading home from Karen's house and there are many little hills that we pass on the drive. Never have I ever seen any cows on these hills, but today there were about 30 cows on one hill. I was looking at them as we were driving by and none of them seemed to be moving, so I said "are those real?" Doe started laughing, yes they are real, she said to me, "what, do you think someone would just put a whole bunch of plastic cows out on a hill?" We both had a pretty good laugh. Doe is getting to see, first hand, how much my brain doesn't work sometimes (many times today). Thanks for being here Doe, and helping me make it through the day, don't know what I would be doing without you right now, probably telling everyone there is a hill with a lot of fake cows on it :o)
Good night all,
Natalie
While we were packing up at the beach house, Kylie was playing hide and seek with everyone who walked up and down the stairs. She must have stood there for a good 20 minutes enjoying hiding from everyone.
Coopies biggest blowout so far, thank goodness I was holding and nursing him in the car and he was not in his car seat. It made for a more interesting drive home from beach.
Kylie slept with Elizabeth Joy for most of the ride home from beach.
The next morning Cooper was sleeping so well, gotta love those chunky cheeks.
Go Doe!! SkyTown today.
It was wonderful to see Karen today.
I took this photo yesterday, his little smile melts my heart!
