4 weeks old today

In his first 4 weeks earth side Cooper has become very good at two things, smiling at us and pulling his own hair. He looks so much like Kylie, especially when he smiles, and all the time really. And the combination of his silky soft hair and gripper reflex has caused more then a few tears, is it to soon for a first hair cut?

We said good bye to the Johnson group again today. Half of the group headed to San Diego to watch the Giants play the Padres, Giants won in the 10th inning, I bet it was an exciting game. Tim, Taylor and Erica stayed for lunch and ice cream before heading back home. By the time Kylie woke up from her nap this afternoon, the house was empty except for Cooper and I. Well for a couple minutes at least, until my mom came over to hang out with Kylie while I took a quick trip to visit my good friend Janisha and her new little baby boy Ahmad. Ahmad is almost exactly two weeks younger then Cooper, he came at 37 weeks and was a pretty little guy. I finally got a chance to meet him today, he is so sweet and so tiny compared to Coop, it's amazing how much difference a few weeks make.

I came home tonight about the same time Craig did, we packed up dinner and headed down to meet Ama, Papa and Kylie at the bowl. Tonight was the Air Force band, it was wonderful. Kylie got to spend time with Renae, she even put on a little dance performance for Renae and a whole group of surrounding spectators. The weather was perfect, the music was great, Kylie ran around dancing in her new long dress (thank you Anna) and Cooper did a great job sleeping through most of it.

Craig was asleep before Kylie once we got home and Cooper outlast both of them. But now it is time for us to call it a night too. Craig works again tomorrow so Kylie, Cooper and I will be holding down the fort.

Thank you Quin for making my 4th of July wish come true, thank you Jill for starting a crock pot meal for our dinner tonight (it was very yummy), thank you Taylor for taking some photos of my family, can't wait to see them, thank you Diana for the wonderful gifts for the kids, we can't wait for beach week, and thank you to all of my wonderful family-in-law for coming to visit and spend time with us. We miss you all so much, it has been wonderful to spend time with you over the past couple weeks. We are so excited to see you all in less then a week, yay!!
