Kylie woke Doe and I up this morning at 8 am. Yay! We were both expecting a much earlier wake up call. Both Doe and I LOVE waking up to Kylie's face in the morning. It's the best way to start the day. Kylie woke us up and we were off to look for Ammy. We found Ammy, and then Kylie asked me "Would you like to go for a little walk with me outside?" You bet I would big girl! We took a walk, came back to the beach house and ate a scrumdidiliumptious breakfast, got ready for the beach, and then walked down to the ocean. The first thing Kylie wanted to do was ride on the little swings, so that's what we did. I love pushing you Kylie May, and you love swinging. I feel bad pushing you for so long though because I feel like we never give any other kids on the beach a chance to swing. After a while of swinging on the little swings we moved over to the big swings where you swung with the best of them. You're becoming such a big girl! We had a fun day on the beach swinging, eating, playing in the sand, and taking a nap. One funny story from today involved Kylie and some seaweed. I'm sure you can guess how this story ends. Earlier in the day Kylie saw her friend Andrew (age 20) try some seaweed he had found in the water. Lala tried to tell him "monkey see, monkey do" but he really wanted to try it. A couple of hours later Kylie was playing in the sand with Ammy and Kylie decided it was time to try the seaweed since she loves seaweed from the store so much, and Andrew ate it, so it must be good. Needless to say, she was not impressed. She put some in her mouth and scrunched up her nose and started trying to get the taste off her tongue. Hopefully she will remember the rest of the week that she does not like fresh seaweed.
Cooper seemed to have a good day on the beach today. He probably slept seventy-five percent of the time, but he was only taking after his daddy. His crazy daddy woke up at 6:30 this morning and went on a long bike ride. I'm not sure how long it was in miles, but he rode to San Luis Obispo and back. He was gone two and a half hours. That drive from Cayucos usually takes about 20ish minutes. Poor daddy was tired today, so he took a nap for at least two hours on the beach today. Those Johnson boys sure know how to sleep. Cooper spent some good time resting with Ammy and Auntie Jilly today. He sure is a lucky boy.
At the end of the day we headed back to the beach house for a yummy BBQ Beef dinner. Kylie got to eat dinner at a table just her size with her friends Ben, Olivia, and Claire. Ben and Olivia are a few years older than Kylie, and Claire is only eight or nine months older than Kylie. It was fun to see them playing and running around together. Kylie really loves jumping on mine and Doe's bed here at the beach house. We'll sacrifice a sandy bed for your happiness Kylie May. Kylie impresses me everyday with how smart and funny she is, and Cooper amazes me with how calm and happy he always is.
No one knows what tomorrow will hold, but I have a feeling it will be a fun, but very busy day. I've made up about ten one days stories that Kylie enjoys, but she is getting a little bit bored with some of them. I need to go to bed now, and hopefully I'll be inspired with some new subjects for "One Day" stories. I'm nervous to include sea creatures in my "One Day" stories while at the beach because I don't want her to expect them to come true. That's hard for me because when she's at home in Redlands I use sea creatures as my go-to "One Day" story subjects. If anyone has any ideas, please share them with me. There is still lots of week to be enjoyed. Kylie May and Cooper Marshall Le, I love you both so much! Spending this week with you both, and the rest of the family, is the best part of the entire year. You two are SO special to me, and you are so loved precious ones.
Love,
Your Lala
Kylie and Claire got to help make some Chocolate Chip cookies tonight. Yummy-yes. Sanitary-not so much. Oh well.
Kylie LOVES playing Doctor. Cooper's arm was hurting, so he had to get a little shot. It won't hurt.
This morning Kylie wanted to put her special chair in the shower. Silly girl.
We sure do have a fun time playing together!
Kylie loves playing and jumping and Doe and Lala's bed. Sometimes we like to relax and talk, or tell "One Day" stories too.
Kylie is funny. She likes to climb to the top bunk and hang out up there just for fun.
Ammy and Cooper spent some quality time together. Ammy always knows how to calm Cooper down or make him smile.
This is a picture I took last year during beach week. She was so little and adorable!
I had Kylie sit in the same spot and sit in the same position tonight. Now she is so big and adorable! What a difference a year makes.
