In June of this year Kylie traveled to Oregon and got the chance to meet and spend time with her Great-Grandma Josephine. This morning around 11:30am, in her own home, surrounded by her two daughters and three of her grandchildren, Grandma Jo peacefully passed away. She lived a vibrant, active 94 years and was of sound mind and comfortable when she passed. We are sad we could not be there to hold her hand, but celebrate the amazing life she lead. We know she is now watching over us from heaven and no doubt keeping a close eye on her only great-grandchild, Kylie. We miss you and love you Grandma Jo.

As fate would have it, today we attended an 80th birthday party for my Grandma Gloria. My Aunt Johanna and her husband Kevin hosted the wonderful event at their beautiful home in Redlands. Many family and friends attended the party, there was wonderful food, delicious drinks, a yummy cake and a great band (my dad's band the Academics). Kylie was her social self, she loved having an excuse to get dressed up and could not have been more sweet all evening (even when we decided to stay late for the after-party, she was just as happy as can be). She enjoyed seeing her cousin Liam and listening to the band. Kylie is truly our child, social butterfly, extravert, soaking in every minute until we came home and she realized it was over, then she was out like a light (her daddy did the same thing tonight, fast asleep on his la-z-boy chair). We really enjoyed seeing so much of the family today, it was wonderful to have a chance to get together.
More to come soon,
Natalie

Kylie: "See Liam, it's a plate." Liam: "Well what do you do with it?" |

Kylie: "I think you eat it, like this." Liam: "Oh I see, interesting." |

Adam tried to help feed Kylie, she seemed pretty sure he has slipped a little something in the food and wouldn't take a bite from him. |
