When it happened this morning at the Great-grandparents house we thought it might have been a fluke, then this evening it happened again at home...Kylie started scooting. It's kind of an army crawl where both arms go out and she pulls herself forward while a couple toes help push from behind, it's awesome! We have been wondering if she might start moving more, the past few days (especially yesterday and today) she has been a little cranky, not resting well, not eating quite as much and not wanting to nurse as much. And sure enough today she got her limbs organized enough to move herself across the floor. She only moved little bits on my grandparents kitchen floor, but later this evening she scooted about 4 feet from my sister to me. Then she just about pulled herself to and stand and pulled down on my top, her motivation for traveling across the room could not have been more clear :o) The other little surprise we had today from Miss May, was her very coordinated ability to pull herself up in her crib. She has done this once before (a couple weeks ago) but has had trouble since, so we were not worried about it. But tonight I put her in her crib while I finished dinner, Melissa was sitting in the nursery and next thing we know Kylie is standing in her crib holding on to the side. We put her back sitting and not two seconds later she was standing again, I guess we have to lower the crib ASAP, it's definitely not safe anymore.
Kylie had a fun play date with cousin Liam today, he just learned how to roll over very well. Every time his mommy Emily put him down on his back he would swing his little leg over and be on his tummy, so fast, it was impressive. After a few moments of being on his tummy he decided he didn't like it anymore and he would fuss, so Emily would turn him back over, and what do you know, up goes the leg and on to his tummy he turns, silly boy. We walked to our grandparents and had a delicious lunch while we played with the little ones, it was great fun.
In the afternoon Kylie and her daddy took a nice long nap together while mommy got to take a nice long shower, ahhhh, the little things in life :o) Kylie didn't want to go to sleep tonight, she tossed and turned and scooted, and finally, after about 1.5 hours of trying to get her calm, she finally fell asleep. I think she is excited about her increasing coordination and strength, I feel like she will be crawling in no time at all, she is growing to fast!
More to come soon,
Natalie
It happens quick, but she does a little scooting

Liam taking a little break from all the rolling around. |

"Yes Great-Grandma, what were you saying?" |
 |
"It's OK Liam, being on your tummy can be lots of fun." |
 |
All this tummy time is hard work, Liam decided to take a little break, Kylie doesn't know the meaning of "taking a little break." |
