Kylie May and her late night surprise 218

I wish we had video of our little May flower in the morning. She is so much fun. While both Craig and I desperately attempt to soak in every last minute of shut eye we possibly can, our little pumpkin does her best to make it impossible. She has become so mobile, she rolls back and forth and pulls herself from me to Craig, from our heads to our stomachs, the whole time talking, laughing and singing. So we lay there and smile at her, talk to her, cheer her on, until we accidentally start to doze off again, and that is when Kylie shows off another one of her best moves like grabbing our nose (or any part of our face she can get a hold of) and giving us one of her special Kylie kisses (open mouth full of slobber, she prefers to land these kisses right on the lips, yumm). This of course wakes us right up and we continue to enjoy her wild morning acrobats until we all decide to get up.

The rest of the day was somewhat uneventful, lots of playing and a trip to the grocery store. She did, however, get to watch her first movie. "More Business of Being Born" the sequel to "The Business of Being Born", is now available on Netflix, yeah!!! I have wanting to see is since is came out last year and today was my lucky day. So Kylie, Melissa and I enjoyed learning more about the wonderful and crazy world of birth. If you haven't seen both of these films, they are truly eye-opening and would give you a very good understanding of why Craig and I decided to have Kylie at home with a midwife.

So Kylie finally went to sleep around 8, woke up around 9 and 10 and 11. But little did she know, this 11pm waking was accompanied by a surprise visit. As soon as she heard different voices in the living room her little sleepy eyes popped right open. When she was brought out of our room she was greeted by Mimi, Papa, Auntie Caroline, Auntie Melissa and (drum roll please) Uncle Graham and Auntie Jess!!!! All the way from S.F., Graham and Jess came to visit us this weekend, yeah!!!!! Kylie has not seen them since we visited my Grandma Jo in Oregon in June when Kylie was about 3 months old. She was not so sure about this late night full house, she kept looking around at all the smiling faces, blinking her sleepy eyes and trying to make sense of the whole thing. She is now back in dream land, I will soon be joining her, and I already forewarned Graham and Jess that they have tickets to the morning acrobatic show staring Kylie May. They wont even need to get up, I will bring the show to them :o)

More to come soon,
Natalie

today was another cold day so Kylie got to wear some warm "big girl" pjs (I can't believe she is wearing 12 month pjs already, she is so long)

Just enjoying a little play time after her bath
