Kylie May and the Rare Normal Day 214

There is really nothing normal about a "normal" day in Kylie May's world. We didn't go anywhere (besides a couple hours at grandma and granpas while she waited for Nat to come home from work this morning), we didn't do anything (relatively speaking of course), and in Kylie's world, a day like this is an anomaly.

It often seems like the day after Nat works we all end up spending most of the day laying around the house recovering from a night in the trenches.  :-)  Nat's work nights have gotten much better in the last few weeks (at least for us, but Nat is still working pretty hard), but they still don't lend themselves to much sleep for me.  She has gotten much easier to put down, but she still wakes up about every 1-2 hours (which, if you try it sometime, is just long enough to get back in bed, wind down a bit, get comfortable, and fall asleep).  You know how you just start to drift off and a good dream is coming? Well it's usually right about then that the tiny tot decides she needs to wake up and be picked up.  I guess it's times like that where I'm supposed to insert a nice parenting cliche, hmm..... how about "Oh. The joys of parenting."

Tomorrow we will get back to "Kylie's Normal" day by taking her down to San Diego to visit with Neils, Marissa, and their girls. I'm sure Kylie will be glad to get back to her normal routine, and we'll enjoy a nice trip down to sunny San Diego.

More to come soon,

Craig

Either some new teeth are working their way down, or someone left the ice cream within reach.
