Kylie May's 1st Valentine's Day 342

Kylie woke up this morning in such a wonderful mood, laughing and talking. We had a fun surprise waiting for Craig when he arrived home, last night my dad and I installed a hanging pot holder that Craig got for Christmas. I hung all our pots and pans, along with a couple gifts from Kylie and I, it was the first thing he saw when he walked in to the house this morning. We made a quick breakfast while Craig opened his gifts, Kylie got him a new wallet, strawberry licorice and a very sweet book that she can sit and read with him. We were having a relaxing morning until I realized we were running late for story time, so we kicked it into high gear and tried to get out the door and down to the library. We made it in time for the seconds story time, as always Kylie enjoyed singing songs and listening to the stories. She is getting more comfortable around all the kids and today she just kept taking off, crawling all around and visiting all the other kids.

So sleepy, I put Kylie in the Ergo for the walk home, she didn't fall asleep though :o( So Melissa stepped in for a second attempt at getting her to take a nap while Jon and Raquel came over for a quick birthing class crash course before work. Kylie did finally fall asleep on the walk to CVS and then made a quick stop to visit Mimi and Papa before heading back home. Next up a quick trip to the dance studio for me and back to the grandparents for Kylie. This time she got a nice long nap in with Mimi and woke up feeling much more refreshed. We headed home and found Craig awake and busy in the kitchen. As if he doesn't do enough for work already, Craig decided to make home-made biskets to take to the work potluck tonight, wow. So we fixed dinner, Craig baked biskets, got ready for worked and headed out the door without having enough time to finish his dinner with us :o(

Bath time for my little Valentine and then off to bed. Bed time tonight was a two hours circus where I resorted to getting Kylie undressed down to the diaper, me without a top, so we could do some skin-to-skin time in hopes it would help her relax and fall asleep. In the end it worked, but now she is naked and our room is a little cool so I am trying to find a way to get her pj's back on her :o) She has been a restless sleeper the past few nights and tonight seems the same. Hoping she will calm down once I am in there with her.
