Kylie May visits Barnes and Nobel today 333

When I put Kylie to sleep tonight I must have done an extra good job, because I put myself to sleep too without realizing it. So I just woke up and realized all the lights are still on, I never got ready for bed and the blog!

This morning Kylie attended her second story time at Barnes and Nobel. Of the 10 children there, Kylie was one of only two girls and although Kylie was almost the youngest one there, she was defiantly the most talkative. The books they picked to read were appropriate for about 4 years and up, but all the children attending story time were 1-3 years old, so they had a difficult time paying attention and following along. But the woman reading the story would ask questions every once in a while, "in this story the little girls favorite color is pink, what's your favorite color?" etc. And Kylie was the cutest thing, she was loudly babble as if she understood the questions and was giving her answer. None of the other kids were answering, the questions were simply to advanced for this group, but Kylie fulfilled the role of the chatty little girl while all the boys just sat there and stared, it was so funny.

After story time we discovered another hidden treasure at Barnes and Nobel, a train table! A couple boys from the story time had moved on to play at the train table and if you know Kylie, you know she was thrilled to be part of the group. She didn't really understand the whole idea of the table and the little boys kept pushing their trains past her, but she thought it was so much fun! I also got a chance to meet a few other moms and dads, it's nice to be getting out there and making new friends. No one believes me when I tell them Kylie is almost 11 months old, the responses are always the same, "she seems so much older, " "she is so big," "she has so much hair," and "wow, she talks a lot for only 11 months."

With a successful story time under our belts, we came home for a quick nap, lunch, play time/clean the living room. I know most parents think their child is advanced, but today I really felt like Kylie did something way to advanced for her age. I got off the phone with my mom and set my phone of the couch, when I turned around Kylie had crawled over, pulled up on the couch, grabbed my phone, put it to her ear and she started babbling, da ya ba yes da ma... I couldn't believe it. She was so animated and even took little pauses as if she was waiting for a response, to funny. It makes me realize how much I must be on the phone around her, you can bet that is going to change, I don't want my daughter to think that mommy on the phone is just the norm.

Then Kylie got to spend some quality time with her grandma while I ran to the dance studio for about two hours. I came back to get her and it was time to head home for another nap, but, it was 5:30pm, almost time for bed. Kylie had not taken her afternoon nap and she was so sleepy, but at 5:30 it's almost time for bed. So we snuggled on the couch and she fell asleep nursing. As I am laying there, still trapped by the nursing princess, I realize that I don't hear Craig awake yet and I don't have my phone to call him and wake him up. Eventually my sister comes down and I ask her to go make sure Craig is up, by now it's 6:09 and I am still trapped, I haven't fixed dinner or packed Craig a lunch, ahhhh. Melissa wakes him up and he hits the ground running, little did I know, tonight he was supposed to be there at 6:30!!!! So he rushes to get ready, throws a quick pasta dish on the stove and by the time I sneak away from Kylie, I have just enough time to give him a kiss goodbye as he walks out the door already late to work :o(

Kylie woke up a little after 7pm and Marisa had invited us over for a little dinner and play date, since both her girls and Kylie had late naps we figured it was a good idea. So we packed up and headed to visit Raine, Sunny, Niels, Marisa and baby Skye (still in the tummy). Kylie had a great time playing and before we knew it it was 10pm and time to head home and to bed.

One more quick update, tooth number 8 came through a few days ago, I just forgot to put it in the blog :o) So she officially has 4 on top and 4 on the bottom, go Kylie!!!

More to come soon,
Natalie

Train time!

"I don't know what we are doing, but I like it!"
What better then one baby playing the piano? Three!

Kylie and Sunny (two years) loved throwing the oranges and lemons all over the place.

Raine feeling baby Skye kicking.

She did it again, I feel like I just flashed forward about 15 years.

Someone must had said something funny.
