Auntie Melissa is back! After almost 5 weeks of traveling to spend time with her boyfriend, Auntie Melissa and Kylie were reunited this afternoon. It was a little bit of a rough moment, however. Kylie had been up all afternoon, a little cranky, and I had decided to put her in the backpack so I could get some stuff done while Craig slept. She had just fallen asleep in the backpack and I had taken it off and set it on the floor when Melissa opened the front door. Kylie's little eyes popped open and she was awake. It took her a little while to reorient herself to her surroundings and the new person in the room, but in no time at all she was smiling at Auntie Melissa and asking all about her trip.
We had a quick dinner, Craig went to work, then Mimi, Papa, Auntie Melissa, Kylie and I all headed off to reunite Kylie with another friend she has not seen in a while, Jackson. We met Doug, Gina and Jax at a part in Yucaipa. This park has an outdoor stage and tonight there was a Beatles cover band. We sat out on the grass and enjoyed the warm air and the music, it was wonderful. Kylie and Jax and starting to interact a little more, we just can't wait for them to get big enough to play together.
So tonight Melissa is here, it is so great to have her back, Kylie is fast asleep and I am about to join her. Good night, more to come soon.
