Kylie had a pretty big first 4th of July. She did, however, miss out on a very festive and delicious breakfast made by Diana and Jill. So finally woke up and joined the party around 10:30. We spent more wonderful time with the family before they decided to get on the road and head home. We will see them again in about 10 days for Johnson Beach Week, we can't wait! So after everyone left, Kylie took a nice long nap, when she woke we got ourselves ready to head down to the park. We put on our Red, White and Blue (thanks Amy for the cute outfit, it was perfect for today) and headed out the door around 3. We got to the park just as all the venders were starting to close up shop :o( We were able to get a little snack and find a nice cool spot to sit and have a little picnic. Kylie really enjoyed being outside with all the people and things to look at.
We headed home a little while later, Craig took a nap while Kylie and I played in the front yard. By "played" I mean we had a mini photo shoot then Kylie splashed around in her new tub (thank you grandma Diana, she love it). By this time she was ready for another nap, so wrapped up in her towel we nursed and fell asleep in the big chair. Craig kissed us both and left for work wearing very festive Red, White and Blue. When she woke she gave me he biggest smile, then I felt my lap getting very warm and wet. Ahhh I had forgotten she was not wearing a diaper, so it was bath time. She enjoyed her bath time and enjoyed a little massage before we put her pj's on. She was not quite ready for bed so we decided to go on a little walk. The weather today was just perfect, it was warm but not hot, the park was beautiful with a soft breeze and this evening it was nice and cool. We walked around the neighborhood all wrapped up in the moby until I got a phone call. My parents were back in town!
My mom had been gone for two weeks and my dad for 10 days. We got to see them on our adventures north, but it was great to hear they were back in Redlands. So we walked to their house and Kylie got to spend some good time with Mimi and Papa. They say she looks a little bigger and I believe it, she feels bigger to me and her little legs are really starting to fill out. She is still teething and she seems very uncomfortable sometimes, I hope those little teeth will work their way through soon. I don't think Craig and I are really ready for her to start getting teeth, she is just growing up so fast, but we feel so bad for her, we just want her to be more comfortable.
Kylie's day was full of fun and now she is resting up for another big day.
Good night, more to come.

front yard water time in my new tub |

This is from a couple days ago (I just forgot to post it) her first boo-boo, we think she might have scrapped her heel on the step at the pool when she was kicking like crazy, but we are not sure. |

Our festive breakfast, waffles with whipped cream, strawberries and blueberries, yum! |
 |
When she finally woke up this morning, still trying to open her eyes and start the day while Craig held her on the front porch. |

Family 4th of July photo, don't know how Kylie knew to look at the camera, we used the self timer to take the photo, she must have liked the flashing light. |
 |
An afternoon at the park was enough to wear her out. |

Front yard photo shoot :o) |

I picked fresh flowers to put in the photo with her, she loved holding them but kept putting them to her face and closing her eyes, so funny. |
