Kylie May and an Interior Decorating Day 119

Today our fashionista spread her artistic wings to try her hand a different form of fashion. Once she stopped trying to buy everything at what she could only assume was a yard sale Kylie decided to help Mimmi and Papa rearrange all their newly inherited furniture (Graham was getting rid of a lot of furniture and they moved everything out of the Sacramento condo).  After hearing all Kylie's "a little more to the right" and "up just another inch" I came to grips with the fact that a future of eclectic finger painting and artistic alphabets shines brightly before me.

Besides helping mimi and papa rearrange their furniture Kylie had a pretty mellow day...well, at least by her standards.  Any day without at least 3 costume changes and five social events is oh so blaze e in this little four month olds world.  We walked down to market night, nursed with Natalie, walked back to mimi and papas, had a nice 15 second (that's all the time we had to eat before Kylie got tired and Nat had to go back to work) BBQ, and then walked home while the wee one slept.  Today we understood that even "normal" relaxing days are pretty special when you have a baby around.  She gave us enough smiles, laughs, cuddles and expressions to light up our day.  We just can't get enough of that.

On a side note.  Today is the one year anniversary of the day we found out we were going to have miss Kylie May.  Of course we didn't know she was a she or what her name would be, but on this day last year, our world got a 9.0 on the Richter scale. I remember I had stayed up really late the night before (no idea why) and when Natalie woke me up at 6:00am to tell me she was pregnant it felt like some obscure weird dream.  My first thought was, "where am I?" and the next was,"What!? You're Huh?" After that I'm sure a million things ran through my mind and I couldn't tell you what any of them were.  What a mind blowing announcement.  It is fun to think that our little peanut has been with us for a whole year already.  Time flies when you're having fun....or when you're scared to death :-)

more to come soon,

Craig
Nat says she walked in and saw us this way... slight resemblance perhaps

Her story is that two minutes later she heard some rustling, came to investigate, and saw this scene. I guess great minds think alike.
