I got home at about 8 this morning, usually I get ready for bed and climb in with Craig and Kylie, nurse her and we all fall asleep for another couple hours. But this morning I was greeted when I walked in the door, Craig was up walking circles with Kylie (she had been up since about 5:45). As it turns out she had not slept very much and when she did, Craig had a hard time sleeping, he was running on about 2 hours of sleep himself. So I nursed her and since we were all already up we decided to go to church. After church my parents and sister watched Kylie while Craig and I got a little sleep. It was about 2 hours of sleep for me before I had to get up so I could go teach an hour lesson at the dance studio. My parents continued to watch Kylie while I was teaching and Craig slept until he had to get up and go to work. Today was the first time both Craig and I truly felt exhausted, and it wasn't Kylie's fault. We are still just trying to work through this new work schedule, who would have thought the newborn would actually be the easy part :o)
So I spent the rest of the evening with my parents and sister. Kylie had fun bath time outside with Mimi and Auntie Melissa and we all enjoyed getting a glimpse of the eclipse that happened around 6pm. Kylie was a little fussy again today, not sure if she is still working through her immunizations or just missing mommy. She nursed a ton, exercised her little arms and legs, read two new books and enjoyed a couple naps.
I am hardly keeping my eyes open right now, so I will sign off and we will write more tomorrow :o)
