Kylie May's Thirsty Thursday Day 77

Feel the rhythm, feel the ride, Kylie followers it's blogging time! Hi all, uncle Tim here making a guest post tonight (first time I have gotten the privilege to do so :). I am told that Kylie had another big day today (Unfortunately, I missed part of it because I had to go to work)...it really is a rough life being a 77 day old baby though! Let me give you a quick run down of the day: Kylie woke up at 11:30am (all the graduation festivities and a long car ride the day before can really wear you out--but, you know what they say, "the early bird gets the worm" or in Kylie's case some of mom's "liquid gold"), a little retail therapy at Target (she totally scored on some cute new Giants outfits--I didn't think it could happen so soon, but she insisted that it was a must for her wardrobe and she refused to leave the store until Craig bought her the necessary gear. I have to say, I agree with her--I am sure that is one of my jobs as her uncle--to make sure that she always has plenty of cute Giants stuff in her closet. Kylie, if you are reading this someday and are lacking in that department, you know who to come to--I have uncle Kyle's number on speed dial, and I am more than happy to give him a call on your behalf to let him know that you need to be hooked up! :), a long walk around gpa and gma's house, story time with uncle Tim (thanks for the new book Davila family!), a fun time in the big red swing (thanks for putting that up grandpa), plenty of eating sessions and naps (especially with Auntie Quin) mixed in, dinner with the family, and then off to bed again around 9:30pm in her cute duckie pj's (we learned all about the sound a duck makes during story time). Kylie really likes sleeping in a king-sized bed (she told me!) and wishes mom and dad would hurry up and make a switch at their house (she is getting tired of them crowding her space. After all, she is a growing girl and has given each of them a generous six inches on the outside edges of the bed for their sleeping enjoyment).  I told you, it is a rough life!

Normally, I wouldn't share these types of things (being a pastor, people sometimes share things with me in confidence)--but just this time I will let you all in on a few things that Kylie shared with me today that she really wants to learn to appreciate. Admittedly, most of these are things that her mom has already been trying to teach her (she already looks up to her mom so much!), but I am just coming along side to try to reinforce.  First, she really wants to learn all about the art and joys of sucking her thumb (I tried to show her some of the finer techniques today)! One day soon, she will no longer need her pacifier because she will have the "attached one" that God gave her (why else do we need thumbs?!).  Secondly, while she realizes that it is not good to be addicted to anything...she just can't help the fact that she is dying to make a trip to Starbucks to begin her appreciation for coffee (they are everywhere! It was like torture seeing the Starbucks in Target today. Oh, and the other one across the street--and oh yeah, not to mention the hundreds she counted along the drive yesterday).  She is looking forward to the days that she can spend some good quality time with mom, dad, or both at one of these fascinating stores.  All in due time Kylie, all in due time! Last, but certainly not least, she admitted that she can hardly stand the thought of having been alive for a whole 77 days already and not yet having been to a live Giants game (she said that thought is kind of the same feeling her dad gets when he thinks about popsicles--it sends a chill down every nerve of her body).  I didn't want to do it, but I had to spoil the surprise (sorry Craig and Nat!)--it really was the only way to calm her down--rumor on the street is that there is a trip in the works soon! Her response, "#winning"!

Well, that is all for tonight. On a more serious note, Kylie, we all love you SO MUCH! It always brings so much joy to our hearts to have you around (we kind of think the world about your mom and dad too)! Hope you enjoy some of the pictures from the day...

Smiling at Auntie Lane on our car ride to Target.

Look at my new Giants jacket!

We hope this bow will help her look more like a girl when she is in her Giants gear.

Uncle Tim reading Kylie her new book!

Auntie Quin took her on a nice long walk that lead to a nice long nap :o)

Thank you Grandpa for putting up the swing for me!
