Kylie May's "Movement and More" Day 301

Today was Kylie and Mommy's Day Of Fun! Craig had to go to work training from 7am-3pm and is now working tonight. So Kylie and I started our day with a "Movement and More" class at Breath Yoga Studio. I have been talking to the owner, Julie, for a while now and we decided that the class should start in the new year. So it is a class that I am teaching, basically yoga with your baby or child, followed by a chance to take a walk through downtown and visit. Two other women and their kids showed up, it was fun! I hope the class grows over the next few weeks and gives Kylie and I a chance to meet some other moms and kids.

After class we came home, Kylie took a nap and I cleaned the house. When she woke up we ate lunch, which included something new for Miss May, pasta. I had been heating up my spinach and cheese tortellini on the stove when Kylie started to fuss. I turned off the burner and went to our room, she was still sleepy so I nursed her and cuddled her for another 20 min. By then my pasta was almost mush, so I thought Kylie might like sharing it with me. She did seem to enjoy it even though she didn't eat very much. Craig came home and went to take a nap while Kylie and I cleaned out her room. It is amazing how fast she grows out of her clothes, I am saving all my favorites, I hope we have another little girl someday.

I think Kylie is doing some very rapid growing right now, she seems heavier every time I pick her up, she is starting to outgrow some of her 12 month clothes and she is very squirmy when she is nursing. Her favorite nursing position is to have me laying down, her head on my chest, butt up and legs straight. Then she thrashes her head side to side and tries not to loose her balance. It is pretty funny, but not after 25 min of trying to get her to calm down and go to sleep :o) She is also talking a lot more, her two favorite sounds right now are "sssssssss" and "oooo". When she makes the "ooo" sound she puckers her lips and jets her chin out, it is oh so cute. She is also still madly in love with her new baby doll. She takes it everywhere with her, gives her kisses, holds her and pats her back and today she started holding her as if she was nursing her, I think it was on accident, but it was very sweet.

Time to go climb in bed with the little wiggle worm, she was very restless last night, I hope tonight is better.
