LEGOLAND

Sorry I have not written a blog in the past two nights...we decided to go on a little family vacation. Wednesday morning I had breastfeeding group, Craig went on a bike ride and Kylie had a date with her Papa. That afternoon we headed down to Oceanside to check in to our hotel across the street from LEGOLAND. Neither Craig nor I had ever been and we kept hearing that it was a great place to take little ones, so we were so excited to have an opportunity to go. We enjoyed the pool and playground at the hotel then had dinner with Kyle. Yep, Uncle Kyle drove up from San Diego to see us! It was so great to spend a little time with him, we miss him. After a great dinner we all squished in to our one king size bed. It only took a couple minutes for us to realize that we should have brought our little mattress for Kylie, so we made her up a little bed on the floor with the comforter and extra blankets. She slept there all night long, she moved around a ton and actually ended up on the floor next to her little bed. She woke up and climbed in bed with us saying "I was sleeping on the floor" with a smile on her face, oh to be young again. On our way to breakfast I successfully carried both kids, Cooper in the Moby on the front and Kylie in the Ergo on my back, I even made it through the breakfast buffet carrying them, it was awesome.

We spent the first part of our day at the Legoland aquarium. It is small, but perfect for Kylie and perfect for a half day adventure.

Next we went to my parents friends house for a memorial service for my grandma Jo's very good friend. It was wonderful to connect with some of our family friends that I have not seen for years.

Next stop Niels and Marisa's house. We swam, BBQed and just enjoyed having the kids playing together. Cooper went all the way in the pool (except for his head), the pool was like bath water. He seemed to enjoy it for a little while, then he was done. Even though it has been months since we have been to their house, Kylie just made herself right at home in Sunny and Raine's room. She even said she wanted to sleep there, but after trying to get her to sleep for about 30 minutes we decided it was not going to work. She ended up on the couch in the living room with us. A delicious breakfast in the morning then we were headed to Legoland with Ama, Papa and Andre. It was a very fun day. Coopie slept for most of the adventure, but when he was awake he seemed to enjoy it. Kylie had a great time. We are already talking about going back, it was the perfect place for little ones like Kylie.

We have lots of photos of the past couple days, so I am going to say good night now and post the photos tomorrow.
