Kylie May continues to be a great traveler, as we put her in the Moby wrap and walked her all over the town this afternoon. This was the one stop that we decided to not take a guided tour. Well "guided tour" in the sense that we did not sign up for one the ship offered. We did have Kylie with us though, and if you need anymore guide than that I'd be flabbergasted (yep flabbergasted). Nat, Kylie, Tim, Cathy, and I all meandered around town for a while: looking in shops, old buildings, restaurants, etc. When the little one had finally seen enough we stopped into a local restaurant and refueled before heading back to the big boat (just what you need to do right? eat before getting on a cruise ship!)
During meals we have perfected a new trick for the interested little foodie. If there is a booth, we have discovered that we can sit her facing away from the table (staring right at the back of the booth), give her a few toys, and she is just as happy as can be. It's great. She's happy and we get to eat without her trying to grab everything off the table. win win!
The evening's entertainment mainly consisted of the ships Hypno-entertainment show. Since we were all there watching and I was curious, I decided to volunteer to be hypnotized. It was an interesting experiment (I think I was quasi hypnotized), but at least it provided a mild amount of fun for the rest of the crew. Kylie just thought it was weird. It sparked enough interest, however, that after dinner Tim, Cathy, and Nat all went back to the show
(there was one at 7 and one at 10) to try their hand at being the participants. They decided that it was because they saw the first show, but none of them actually felt like they got hypnotized. Once again. Kylie just thought it was weird.
Bar Harbor Maine is tomorrow, so we're off to get some rest.
more to come soon,
Craig
