Another week has come and gone and boy was it a busy one!!!!
I started back to yoga classes (at least I went to one, yay), Craig and I started back to teaching clinicals for the school of nursing, I got the opportunity to teach some of the new nurses hired to labor and delivery and the Moo La La event started on Wednesday! Coopie and Ky got to spend a lot of time with Ama and Papa this week and every day has been getting better and better. Coopie has been doing better taking a bottle and Kylie is just and sweet as can be. Ama and Papa almost have their backyard finished, it is such a wonderful, fun play space for the kids. Ama even bought (many many) new toys for the sand box, a tent and chair for the back yard and a castle for the fairies, so exciting! While Ama was busy buying toys at Moo La La, I stalked up on clothes for the fall and winter. I got 9 month stuff for Coopie since he is already 15lbs 11oz and some of his 6 month stuff is getting to small. And Kylie got 4T, ahhhh. Some of what I got her is still a little big, but I think she will grow in to it over the next few months.
Last night Coopie had his first extended giggle fest. I was changing his diaper while I was teaching a "Baby is Coming" class, he started to giggle and just kept giggling for about 30 seconds, it was so great! He is so responsive and smiley, he loves to stand up and has really great core strength. He rolls over from his back to his tummy to his left very well and actually sleeps most of the night on his tummy these days. he has a harder time getting back, but he can do it if he works hard enough. He and Kylie are interacting more and more, she just loves getting in his face and making funny sounds, he smiles and giggles at her. She is also constantly trying to pick him up and carry him around. She is unable to do either, but she tries. Coopie loves his play mat and is getting better and better and grabbing his toys and bringing them to his mouth. He is chewing on his toys or hands all the time, seems like teething, but who knows. He is becoming at little bit of a distracted nurser, if there is anything interesting going on he tries to nurse and look around, silly boy. He got to come to Kylie's music class this week and he loved it! My mom held him on her lap and he was watching the teachers and other kids so intently. He loved hearing the songs and rhythms, I am so glad he had a good time, I am planning to bring him every week. He did better then two of the two-year-old boys who cried for most of the class.
Kylie is such an amazing little girl. Her language still blows us away and her imagination is incredible. She and her friends Mish and Portia are starting to play together really well, they have these sweet little conversations and actually pretend together. It is so fun to watch. Kylie is still very opinionated about what she is wearing, especially shoes. I bought her shoes at the Moo La La and was so excited to give them to her, when we tried to get them on they were to small :o( she cried and we had to distract her with a fun flower dress that we also got her. She seemed to forget about the shoes, but the next morning she saw them (I forgot to hide them) and insisted on putting them on. This time she was able to get them on, heaven knows how, and demanded she wear them the whole day. Needless to say her little toes looked squished and almost purple by the end of the day, but she didn't care, not even a little bit.
I'm sure there is so much more to say, but (like every other night this week) I am too tired to think. Hopefully life will slow down soon, but I am not holding my breath, just hoping I can get on here and document a little more. Oh also breastfeeding group had 22 moms again this week! It is so fun and makes my heart happy to have such a big group of women finding support from one another.
Good night,
Natalie
Friends came over to enjoy all the fun at Ama and Papas, Coopie, Mish, Kylie, Liam and Declan all swinging together, fun!
Sporting our Giants gear (even baby Carly has a Giants onesie on) for the wildcard game.
I was in the back of the house changing Coopie, all of a sudden it got very quite in the living room, I walked out there and Mish and Kylie had let themselves out the front door and they were sitting on the porch having a conversation.
Kylie was trying on the jacket we bought for Mish at Moo La La, nothing like a snow jacket, diaper and slippers. Her response was "now I'm ready to go."
Ahhh the blissful moment when I am able to sneak away after nursing them both to sleep at nap time.
Cooper made a new friend while I was helping to run a booth at Moo La La today, Josie was so sweet and loved talking to him.
Fancy french braid and side pony all in one.
The little man in his bath tonight.
makes my heart happy...
I have been taking photos of women at the breastfeeding group, I snapped a couple quick photos of Kylie too :o)
Just some of the wonderful women that attend our group. This was the first day we have had a mommy with twins!!!
