Johnson Beach Week

I honestly hoped to write everyday of beach week, I love looking back at the memories of previous beach weeks, but once again, here I am. Our last night at the beach and I am finally sitting down to write.

This week has been wonderful, as it always is. Amazing food, tons and tons of family time and the beautiful sun and sand. Kylie and Cooper have been in heaven. Kylie went on her first trip out in the kayak with Craig and I. She was excited about it until we were actually getting in the boat and we were trying to get out over the waves. We had a whole team of people making sure we were not going to tip and we were able to get out without Kylie even getting wet, but she was very upset and it took her about 10 minutes of hugging, kissing and calming before she was able to relax. Once she did, she loved being out in the ocean. She brought her own little paddle (a shovel) and she wanted to adventure all around. Ammy and Papa joined us in the other kayak. It took them about 3 attempts to make it out and once they were on their way back they tipped again. Ammy got laughing so hard, it made us all laugh. We ended up towing her back in and Andrew came out on a rescue mission with the buggy board. It was a fun trip, but again Kylie was in tears as we headed back to shore. The waves scared her and even though we made it in between waves with Craig and I carrying her the whole time (she never even touched the water), she was still very upset and it took a while to help her calm down. When we asked her what the best part of the day was, she said going out on the kayak, so I guess it was not too traumatizing.

Cooper has been having the time of his life out on the beach, every day there are new doggies to meet and play with. He has NO fear and gets SO SO excited when he spots a dog. Little dogs, big dogs, doesn't matter, he will squeal, point his cute little finger, stomp his cubby little feet and make a b-line for his new found fuzzy friend.

We have been practicing our sign language quite a bit, turns out Auntie Shena knows a lot. Cooper is getting good at showing us water, dog, fish, please, more, all done and diaper. Kylie and I learned some new signs and we are trying desperately to remember them so we can teach Cooper. Some of them include; colors, rainbow, people, to go, to come, home, world, fine, want, boy, girl and baby.

babies are waking...more to come later...

June recap...

Kylie and Portia had fun using chalk hair color! Pink, blue and green!!!
Swimming at Kerry and Kyle's pool. They have an awesome Shamu step that makes it fun for the kids. It took Kylie a little while to get comfortable with her floaty, but in no time at all she was swimming all over the pool.

Cooper love to cuddle with his daddy.
Kylie trying to smile for the selfie while she nursed, silly girl.
When shopping for a new fan for our front porch, Cooper tried to clean all the floors.
 Matching nails.
Cooper LOVES to eat, especially summer foods like watermelon and corn on the cob.
Makes me smile when I get to see this as I leave for work.
Cooper gets very excited to see his friends at church, maybe a little too excited.
 Happy Father's Day Craig!

Just cuddling his baby and watching some Sesame Street.
Craig cleaned and re-painted our mailbox and house numbers, Cooper helped.
Sometime you have to take ALL the kids on vacation with you.
Our wonderful double stroller was stolen months ago, we saved up and got another! This was our first trip to Olive Market with it (20 minutes after it was delivered to our door).
Being a mom is not easy, especially when you have to wear all 3 of your babies.
 Bath time with Penny!
And a walk after the bath, Stephanie and I were so proud of ourselves, all 4 kids to sleep, yes!!!
First swim day at Drayson Center!
One of the life guards asked me to cover while I was breastfeeding at the pool, poor thing did not know who she had come across. I very politely educated her about my rights and continued to nurse this sweet boy.
First trip to Me n Ed's!
Date night to see Inside Out 3D. Thank you Johnson family for watching the kids, it was so great to have a little date.
makes it a little hard to sneak out of bed when I am trapped like this.
sent from Emily, oh how the boys have changed.
Cooper and his animals, he just loves Dolly too.
The sunset on our drive home from Portorville
Facetime with Marta, we miss her so much!
The first bowl of the season, Cooper loved it and clapped after every song.

June was a very busy month, so many great memories. Looking forward to many more in July.

My beautiful son...

I had an opportunity to spend a little time capturing some photos of my beautiful boy. It is not often that Craig, Cooper and I get some time, just us, but during a recent stay in Portorville we did. Kylie went with her Aunties and Ammy to a VBS night at the church and Craig and I took Cooper to see the cows and other animals that live next.

A few things we know about Cooper... he loves to adventure outside, he will try to get ANY cap off ANY bottle (and he is usually successful), he thinks anything round is a ball and should be thrown, and he LOVES DOGS! Any and every dog, he is not picky.

So here are a few photos from our recent trip...I just love this little man.
