Happy 11 months Coopie!

This little man is growing so fast!!! I can't believe he is already 11 months, I guess we should start planning his first birthday :o) Yesterday Cooper took his first official steps (of course I missed it, he was with my parents). He took about 4 steps in a row! Later in the evening I got to see him take about 3 steps in a row and then tonight he pulled himself up on the couch and turned and took two steps to get to me. He is still quite cautious, but I think he will be running around by his first birthday.

We went to story time today, he just loves seeing all the other kids and singing the songs. His face lights up when he is handed his little star and we all start singing "twinkle twinkle."

Today I started watching some "signing time" videos so I can start doing more sign language with him. We never did very much with Kylie, but what we did teach her, she used all the time. I am hoping to get Craig and my parents on board so we can teaching him all together. He is very good at communicating with us even though he does not have any official words yet. When we point to a dog, he makes a "woof" type sound, but he does not do it all the time so it is hard to know if it is just coincidence.

Cooper still loves to eat and feed himself. He is also getting very good at throwing his food off his tray when he is done or simply not interested in it anymore. He can also climb out of his highchair so we have started buckling him in.

This past weekend we had a visit from our friends Liz, Matt and Zachary. The kids had so much fun together! Zachary turned 2 in March so he is right between Kylie and Coop. It was so wonderful to see them and spend some time catching up. I really hope we get to see them again soon, Kylie is already asking when we will make a trip out to their house.

 Our superheros...

Kylie loves his so much. He insists on carrying him around and calling him her baby. She is actually able to lift him from under his armpits (he is facing out) and he just laughs and smiles. Sometimes she is too rough and tries to wrestle with him when he is not in the mood, but I'm sure there will be a time when the roles will be switched. She also asked me to give them matching hair the other day. So we did.. piggy tails and an orange bow...

We also tried another ponytail option and some accessories.

We took Cooper to the dr yesterday because he had been running a high temp for about 2 days. He did not seem to have any other symptoms, but then he was very stuffy and could hardly breath all night, so I decided to take him in. Of course when we got there he did not have a temp and he was not stuffed up, so he checked out as totally perfect and I looked like one of those over protective, crazy mommies ;o) Cooper did great for the visit, but Kylie had a really hard time. She was sure that she was going to have to get a shot while we were there. I reassured her the entire day that she was not going to get a shot and that the appointment was not for her at all, but she was still almost in tears while we were there. I felt so bad, she just kept asking over and over and I kept reassuring her, but it was not until we were leaving that she finally believed that she was not getting a shot.

A couple more cute photos of this awesome kid...

Took this photo when I was feel very proud that I had both kids bathed, fed and asleep by 7:20pm! Yes!

Still SO much to catch up on, but didn't want to miss out on saying "Happy 11 Months" to my awesome and beautiful baby boy! Your daddy and I love you so so very much Coopie, you are such a blessing to us!
