We have decided to do "Baby Lead Weaning" as our way of introducing Coopie to food. It is a European technique that basically means you let the child experiment with food and learn to feed themselves. Cooper has been so interested in food that we cheated by one day and actually let him try a couple things yesterday, here are some photos...
Yesterday he tried an orange slice from a fresh orange in our front yard.
Last night we gave him some broccoli to experiment with (not to much made it in his mouth)
and today he got to try pear. It is so fun to see him trying to eat, very tempting to help him, especially because it is so messy. But we feel like this is a good way to go for now and Cooper seems to be enjoying his new experiences.
This past week was the last music class until next school quarter. Cooper really enjoyed the class as much as Kylie did :o)
Her teachers Zoe and Bridget
Fun day at the park, Cooper is enjoying the swings almost as much as his big sister
Daddy-daughter crazy hair day
Uncle Kyle was in town and we got to take him jumping at Big Air (used to be called SkyTown) Cooper seemed to enjoy being bounced by his big sister...
and riding the blue pony.
We enjoyed a family day and ventured out to the outlets. Couldn't resist getting a photo of this cutie, too bad its not cold enough to wear cute hats like this all the time.
Craig is officially off work until January!!! He took his baby bonding time for the next three weeks. It has been so nice having him home. He and I went to the Brandin Iron for me to teach a lesson and we even stayed and danced a couple hours! Thanks Ama and Papa! Kylie and Coopie got to watch some of the Christmas Parade in downtown Redlands last night. Kylie like it for the most part, except for the big trucks that honked their horns.
Craig and my mom also went to town on our front yard. We had one good day of rain and decided that now was the time to pull out all the bushes and trees between our house and Matt and Undi's. It looks great! I will have to add a photo next time I write, but now the girls and go back and forth without any problem.
We also had a fun Sunday morning today, all the girls in the neighborhood were outside playing, we just love the 75 degree day in December!
More to some (hopefully) soon,
Natalie
