About three weeks ago a new family moved in down the street. The best part is that they have a 16.5 month old daughter and another on the way! Porsha (P.J. for short) is such a wonderful and sweet little girl. Almost every evening we end up outside playing with Mish and PJ. All three girls play so well together, we even took them all to story time last week, so fun! We can't believe how lucky we are to have such wonderful neighbors with girls the same age as Kylie.
Next week Craig and I start teaching nursing school clinical rotations. It will be fun, but hard to get back in to the school mode, even though we are on the other end of it. I also started my class to become a lactation consultant. The class meets twice a month, it is wonderful, but will be a lot of work, so I am trying to get back in school mode.
We have done a lot over the past month, here are some of the highlights...
Kylie got to meet Harper, Allison's beautiful baby girl. Kylie loved holding her and now constantly asks about Harper and says she wants to hold her again. I think she will be a good big sister someday.
My good friend Lisa got married. This is before the rehearsal dinner. We stayed at a great little hotel in Fallbrook and enjoyed a weekend together as a family.
BridesmaidsKylie spent time with us in the hotel salon while we got our hair and makeup done for the wedding.
She loved watching us get dolled up!
After the ceremony.
During the reception Kylie made friends with another little girl, close friends.
It was so fun to all be together, I miss my nursing school buddies.
Kylie and Leyla.
Liam (2 years), Layla (7 months) and Kylie. A lot has changed in the past couple years.
Four new kids in to the world since we graduated, poor Liam is a little out numbered.
Kylie attended Brooklyn's French themed birthday party and afterward Zachary came over for a little visit. What a cutie!
Kylie could not get enough of him.
Poor kid doesn't know what hit him.
Big first!!! SEA WORLD!
We headed down to San Diego area and stayed with our friends Niels, Marisa and the kids. After a delicious breakfast we headed out to Sea World. We were not sure what Kylie would think, but she loved it, so much so, that we decided to stay down there for another two nights and enjoy two more days at Sea World.
When we first arrived at Sea World Kylie was not so sure. She had been sleeping and it was all a little overwhelming. By the second and third day she was practically running to the front gate.
Although it doesn't look like it, Kylie loved the little roller coasters in the kids area. The park was practically empty so we got to go on them over and over :o)
This one was her favorite "more, more, more"
Kylie was not so sure about this one, so Sunny got to ride with Craig.
Touching the string rays.
She acted like she wanted to touch them, until they came close then she would want "up up."
Sky is impressed by the dolphin show.
Kylie enjoys wearing her sunglasses, but most of the time she just pushes them to the top of her head, so cute!
Dad's of the year. 2 dads, 4 kids and lots of penguins to look at. Marisa and I are some lucky women.
Looking and the baby beluga whale and her parents.
Sky got prime viewing in his awesome backpack.
Raine insisted on wearing her pink hair to the park, made it very easy to keep an eye on her :o)
Kylie loved watching this polar bear walk back and forth, we came to visit him multiple times during our three day trip.
End of our first day at Sea World, first of many more to come!
Below, watching the dolphin trainers feed the dolphins.
There are a lot of exciting things at Sea World, but some time chasing a pigeon is the most fun.
Kylie's favorite exhibit, the turtles.
There was literally one other family in the exhibit with us, it was so wonderful to be there when the park was so empty.
On the second day Kylie decided to try the "flying fish" she liked them.
On our third day we got there when the park opened (10 am) and stayed until they closed (5pm), Kylie took a little nap in the stroller and had an awesome day.
Watching her favorite show. The Pet's Rule show with cats, dogs, ducks, pigs, and even a kangaroo (which she got to pet).
It was a wonderful trip. When you purchased tickets for one day, you can get the rest of the year for free. I hope we will be going back many more times before Dec.31st!
